How credits work for your agency
A plain-language guide to the credit pool, how agents spend from it, and — the question that trips people up most — whether you’re billed for what you give an agent or only what they use.
Credits move in three steps
Your agency buys credits once. Everything after that happens without anyone touching a card again.
What agents spend credits on
An agent’s balance only goes down when they use one of these. Browsing, editing settings and viewing past listings all cost nothing.
Auto top-up
You can set a rule so an agent never runs dry mid-listing: when their balance drops to a threshold you choose, the system quietly moves more credits across from the pool — no admin needed in the moment.
🔧 You set the rule
For example: “when Sarah drops to 5 credits, give her 20 more.” Both numbers are yours to choose, per agent, in Agency Settings.
⏸ It can be switched off
Turn it off for any agent and their balance simply runs to zero — they’ll see a message asking them to get more from you.
Do I get billed for what I give, or only what’s used?
Only what’s actually used. Moving credits into an agent’s balance costs nothing by itself — it’s simply handing them fuel. If your agency has turned on monthly billing for agents (this is optional, off by default), the invoice at the end of the month only counts credits they genuinely spent. Anything sitting unused in their balance is never billed — not that month, not ever, until they actually spend it.
What agents can’t do
🚫 Buy their own credits
Every credit an agent has came from your pool. There’s no second source of credits to keep track of — if they want credits for private work outside the agency, that needs a separate personal account with a different email.
↩ Take credits with them
If an agent leaves, whatever balance is left — that your agency gave them — returns straight to the pool. Any credits that were genuinely theirs (bought before joining) stay theirs.
Common questions
Do unused credits expire at month-end?
No. Whatever’s left in an agent’s balance simply carries over. Nothing resets.
Is billing agents for their usage compulsory?
No — it’s off by default. Many agencies simply absorb the cost as a team benefit. You switch it on in Settings only if you want to re-bill agents for what they use.
Can I move credits directly between two agents?
Credits move between the pool and an agent’s balance, not directly between two agents. To rebalance, remove an agent (returning their balance to the pool) or simply top up another from the pool.
What if an agent spends more than I’ve ever given them?
That can only happen if they came in holding credits of their own (from before joining). Your invoice for them is always capped at what your agency actually handed over — you’re never billed for their own money.
